Heavy rain led to landslides in the Kathu District of Phuket, a district where Patong Beach is located, around 3 pm. No one was injured and the road to the beach is now closed.
Tonight I'm staying at Genting Hotel which is about an 8 minute walk from the Su-Ngai Kolok border checkpoint an across the road from the railway station. Only 600 Baht. Downside is the room smells of smoke and they cannot guarantee that the disco won't disturb me
