Following a brief investigation, the Royal Thai Army has now confirmed that an explosion which injured four soldiers on patrol earlier this morning near Huai Ta Maria in the Sisaket Province, was caused by a newly-placed PMN-2 Anti-Personnel Landmine — deliberately hidden inside Thai Territory by the Cambodian Army. Since the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord was signed last month in Malaysia, the area had been thoroughly cleared of landmines by the Royal Thai Army, with nearby cut barbed wire suggesting that the mine was placed there by Cambodia sometime after the peace agreement on October 26, 2025.
